I wasn't aware that there were problems with the ccfl's. Can somebody tell me what is going on with them? I had the first gens, but they were garbage. That's why I bought the ccfl's. When I bought the 2nd gen's I did notice that one of the halos were not lightinging up in the passenger side light, so I sent it back for a replacement. That was 2 weeks ago. Still waiting on the stupid company (CTR USA) to send me a new one. SO, if you buy headlights, don't do it from CTR USA on Ebay.

Sorry, I don't. When I hit a porcupine the morning of 7/24 I suffered severe front end damage. It was bad enough that the front bumper was pushed up on impact and broke the headlights. Since insurance was only going to replace them with OEM at a price of $246 each I decided to have insurance send me the check. That's when I bought the ccfl's, had them installed when the repairs were being done, used the rest of the money to pay my deductible, and threw the 1st gens away.

i has projectors .... anyone?
perfect for a retro fit....
these lights came out of 07-08 passat i beleave. they are non h.i.d. and run regular bulbs. they can easily be converted to run your existing h.i.d. 9007 with some altering .
perfect lights for a retro fit if you have the time. cut off is really nice on them and with a higher uotput light they would be really nice.
$125+ shipping obo[/

That's a nice idea. I did see something a little different tonight though. There was a white Porsche Cayenne GTS I believe that had a white ccfl tube in place of the led strip you would see on an Audi. Then he turned on his turn signal, which was the same location as the ccfl tube, and you could see a hint of amber flashing behind it. I thought it was neat.

Lol just noticed that in the 1st gen projector pictures that are in the 1st post, the housings when they are lit up are wrong...ex: the chrome projectors have a black housing in the background with its lights on, and the black housing ones have a chrome projector in the background...wth?
