Bumping this old thread to show my first attempt at plasti dipping my lip. I'm going to redo it in a few short weeks when I have some more free time. I want to plastidip the rims, too.

I did it earlier today (Superbowl Sunday, whoop whoop!) and let it dry. It could've been better, but for my first attempt? I think I did all right.

Thanks, man. In person, it doesn't look as good as it does in the pics. There are a few spots with bad texture.

I'm going to do the rear lip and rims, too. New headlights + LED tails should have this car looking up-to-date again.

Dip looks good. But your headlights look really foggy and your lower grill looks crooked in there?

Crooked grill? Idk about that. But headlights look like **** for sure.

I contemplated doing a retro fit myself, but after reading several How To's and watching some vids, I've realized it's not something I'm comfortable with trying.
Contacted someone on here who retrofits the lights, but he gave me a price quote I can't afford right now.
So I'm thinking about going with some aftermarket headlights. Maybe the Anzo black ones off of Amazon. I'll put in white light bulbs so I don't have to find a way to rig up the HIDs and possibly ruin something. lol

Oh, ****. After further inspection, my lower grill IS crooked. Ugh. I can't believe it took someone mentioning it online for me to notice. All these years.

Also, @ riceburner, PM'd.

@Eddieavila10, you may be right, but I'm someone who just doesn't have the finances for it in most cases. I'll have to see, though.

Thanks, guys. I dipped the rear bumper lip, too, but I don't like how it turned out. I'm going to redo that in a couple weeks. I can't find pics of people's rear bottom lip being dipped, but I remember seeing some a few years ago when this forum was more active..

They're for my car.
It's sunset bronze from 50/50 pearls mixed into topcoat and sprayed over black base coat

Gun. Was just for testing the topcoat dripped on me a little but oh well it came out alright. I'd imagine they'd look alot better if I sprayed gloss over it

Gloss as in topcoat. It would make it alot glossier. Glossifier is crappy. You have to spray it perfect for ok results
