Older HIDs New problem (for me)

I bought a set of hids from buyhids about a year ago. Just recently one started flickering and will go out. It will come on if I switch them off then on but will go out in the same fashion. I've never had HIDs before, so my question is; is this a bulb or ballast issue?

Thanks in advance

(btw I did search )

Both sides?

If its just one side, swap ballasts to the other side. If it switches sides it's the ballast, if not then its the bulb

I had that issue and it was one of my power wires they had corrosion on them and was notating a good connection.

Like I said this is the first set I've ever owned. I'll check my power wire and if that's not it I'll swap ballasts. Thanks for all your help guys!

Oh. Yeah. It's only on one side.

Put in a new ballast today. So far so good. Kinda disappointed/confused as to why this one failed.
