Opinions!?!?!?!

I am deciding that i want to be different from every new car out there!! I want to paint my cobalt ss flat black? should i or would that not look good? Not a primer look but a black without gloss.

- all you see is old vehicles like that and i was watching the tv show Rob and Big and he just got a new 2008 tahoe and painted it flat black and it looked AMAZING!!!

having a car that is not shiny = no good. that's what makes a car look good. and you'd be taking that away. i wouldn't do it. i think it would look cheap.

I wouldn't do it to a car unless it came from the factory like that. I however did paint my motorcycle flat black but it has an aftermarket fiberglass fairings all the way around. Like it for cleaning reasons, I don't anymore and any scuffs and scrathes just resrpay it.

Get a photoshop before you do anything. For all we know it might look good. But please do that first and post pics

Flat black is reserved for the most absolute bad ass angry cars the cars that dont need to look good to impress people. I personally think it would look badass with flat black wheels but you'd have to do it right. Get it professionally done with epoxy primer sealer and on the final coat have them tint it black. Some import mag rattle canned a Subaru flat black, it looked ok but up close you could see all the stripes and irregular sh*t. Dont do it unless its done by a professional.

dont kill the nice shiny factory paint. many many people from different walks of life are going to point and laugh at you. go get a 83 chevy half ton if you wanna flat black something so bad.

I've seen some flat black cars that look just so sick, but they are always old school muscle. Not sure if the Coby could pull it off, and like what's been said, you'd have to ruin a perfectly good paintjob. I could see doing this if after an accident and extensive body repair, but not to a new car.
