Make sure you put a clearcoat over them....or else in about 2-3 months they will start to peel/chip. Looks good though....what's the black strip doing on the bottom of your car?

Agreed on the clear coat. It makes it much easier to clean too.

What paint did you use? How long did it take to dry? I'm going to be installing GMPP rotors and pads this weekend and was wondering if I should paint the calipers (and maybe the brackets, as you did) while doing the brakes. However, if it takes hours to dry I won't have the time during the install.

I used caliper paint at any auto store. It recommends 24 hours drying, and mine dried for 24 hours before i mounted the wheel.

Mine is chipping/peeling so next time I redo my calipers, i'm going to use a clear coat over them. I have 3 layers of paint on each caliper and it lasted me roughly 4-5 months before they started to peel....Either that or I may polish them....who knows

You have a few options really. You can use caliper paint, or any high temperature paint really. I haven't done mine yet but I have everything to do it. I will be using duplicolor "metalcast" which will match up to the sunburst color well. Finish it off with some clear engine enamel that will hold up to the heat and it should last a long time. The whole process should take a few hours and then give it 3-4 to dry before you go driving.

I used the Duplicolor caliper paint , and has been on a lil over a year now and looks as good as when I did it ....without being clearcoat . I sanded the calipers really good with 400 grit paper before hand .

Codyak Supercharged - Looks good man , but definately lose that black strip .

I did mine with Duplicolor, and it's peeling off like crazy (about 4 months later), i cleaned them really good and sanded the fool out of 'em, i guess i shoulda clear coated them, i didn't think about doing that.
