Painted Engine and Supercharger
Painted Engine and Supercharger
I have decided to go off the deep end and paint my engine compartment. I did not use fancy colors, nor did I have to take anything off. I just used time and patience. I was waiting to paint my engine until after my supercharger was ported, and since we did that this weekend, I was free to go to town with the paint.
Here are some before and after shots:

Sorry for the glare in the paint, I took them at night and they were from the flourescent light. Also if you think they are bad quality pics, I used my cell phone. I could post better pics with my other camera when I get a chance.

I noticed a smoother acceleration, and a more even boost gain. As for more power, it's hard to tell since I don't have my 60's in there until I get them back from Intense, so I am running 42's, not exactly adequate for my setup anymore.
I concur, what the hell is that on your intake??
i think i figured it out. i do believe it is heat wrap

I bought mine from a place called Lopers. But go to a performance shop and buy header wrap. Then wrap the intake as tight as possible, and use zipties to hold it in place.
NOTE: You can't use zipties on the exhaust if you choose to wrap that, because it will melt the plastic. Just a little FYI! LOL (No I did not do that)
