Painted Engine and Supercharger
I hope you have some cooling mods done... that paint, though it does look pretty cool, is going to trap more heat in your s/c and create higher intake temps... but as long as you don't go below a 3.0 pulley, you really won't notice it too much excpet for on extended WOT runs.

actually its what I know... I've seen one guy that has his s/c powdercoated and IAT2's went up like 50 deg's on average with a stock pulley... I know paint won't retain as much as powder coating, but thats just an example
Geez! I forgot to post my findings on the painted supercharger.
No heat gains. Surprisingly my IAT1 Temps are 126* with 113* outside air temps. IAT2 is only 131-135* When cruising it's only about 6* above IAT1.
That is puzzling to me and everyone else, because the other cars I have scanned are running IAT2 about 20-25* over IAT1.
So long story short, the Caliper brush on paint did not raise temps, however I do not attribute it to ANY cooling.
BTW, I have NO cooling mods unless you count reset fans and water wetter, but no dual pass or heat exchanger.

One coat, Brush-on caliper paint. IF you know how to paint smoothly, it won't look like crap, but I have had about 6 years of painting experience. For everyone else I recommend taping off everything you don't want to drip on. I did remove the spark plug cover and fuel rail cover to do the painting.
I'll get beter quality pics. It makes the engien compartment look so much cleaner.
I will also post up a black and red engine compartment we did.
Nothing in those pictures that I PAINTED came off the car. I removed the 2 covers to get them out of the way.
I didn't spray the paint on, so it was not neccisary to remove the valve covers, etc.
Here is another poor quality picture from another engine we did. This belongs to CGSS.

The black superchargers look WAY better IMO than the metal ones. You can paint the vavle cover whatever color you want, but the black S/C and intercooler as much cleaner and meaner.
