Our personalized plates are 106. I'm getting my car put in my name had to take out a loan, so i have to pay the 95$ title fee + registration and then 106 for the plates but it also says "fee to switch to personalized plate 76$. So how much am i expecting to pay around 377? that cant be right can it. Or since i'm getting brand new plated only got to pay the 106 and not the extra 76? plus whats usual registration fee?

 

It all depends on the state. I bought my Subaru from Naperville, it was 75 bucks to register it, another 15 for plates, and 60 bucks to transfer it from IL to WI. So i ended up paying 150 bucks to register a 100 dollar car.

Personalized plates for me, with the fee to change plates, shipped to my door were gonna be $200. That's why I said screw that, there's a lot of better ways to spend that money, like a car payment.
