plug and play HID's

I have a set of HID's, complete with the Ballast that I bought as a kit for my Corvette, about 2 years ago. they are regarded as "cheesy" I see on this forum, but they look great on my Vette. I just bought a 07 SS supercharged Cobalt...I love it. But I want HID's. I can buy the same set up kit i have in the Vette, but my ? is the 9007 bulbs are Hi/lo together. So when I put the kit in, will i loose the highbeams? Any help is appreciated. Thanks -newb (Frank)

Stock bulbs, yes they are. You can buy a HID, Hi/Low kit.

they arent cheesy.
just ignorant and stupid.

If you want HIDs, buy some nice projectors from an infiniti, or acura or something and retrofit them.
or buy some halo projectors.

HID + halogen Reflector headlights = blinding everyone on the road.

You would need to buy a Hi/Low HID bulb for them both to work, otherwise you woul dlose your highbeams. I would love to retrofit my headlights, but not enough time, so I went with the HID's and I love them, but they are blinding.
