possible to swap an ion redline front end on a cobalt?
i know the cobalt and the ion are both delta bodies, is it possible to mount a ion redline front end (front bumper, fenders, headlights, hood) on a cobalt ss?
reason why i ask is well, im just curious. will i do it? more than likely not, but who knows. i get bored.
my personal opinion is it should be possible with some minor fabrication. but who knows.
what are you alls thoughts on this, and how it would look.

I don't think the body lines on the fender would match up with the Cobalt. IIRC the IRL fenders are more rounded. And fab work is out of the question, cause it's pretty hard to fab plastic....
Its not possible, the front end is totally different. Not to mention the Ion is completely plastic and not metal. The actual engine bay is bigger on the Ion the front support is further away from the supercharger than a cobalt.
These cars are not like the old Sunfires and Cavaliers were you could flip flop front ends. The fenders were actually the same the only change was the hood, lights, and bumpers.

Cobalt and G5s are pretty much the same thing. The front bumper of the G5 is a cobalt bumper. If you were to take a G5 grill off you would see on the side where it looks as tho the bar was cut off and the G5 grill was put in place. The rear bumpers are a little different how ever the quarter panels are the same so swapping is possible. Its been done on here before a Red TC had a G5 GT rear end.
