Well i had that L5 and box in my grand am a for a few days while i was getting my box built, and it sounded amazing !! It was very deep and accurate...

Well in the cobalt it sounds like ass. The kicker amp doesent even have a low pass setting ONLY gain controll, so it is a fixed freq. Plus the shitty signal from the stock HU doesent help either. I want to get my hifonics amp in there for looks because its a sexy looking amp, a bit too powerfull for the L5 but at 4 ohm's it will be a bit more friendly than if it was running at 1 ohm (2000 watt)

Pic of the hifonics....http://s274.photobucket.com/albums/j...t=IMG_0575.jpg

I was looking at the JL Audio CleanSweep, or the Epicenter, any suggestions would help...

as long as ur get the hifonics strictly for looks then go for it. Otherwise throw the amp from the grand am into the balt and see what happens... you can adjust a bit of the sound by swapping amps but comparing the 2 vehicles isn't the best way to determine what to upgrade. it sounds like an hu is the best route here.

remember an epicenter is for making mexican music sound good with subs. nothing more

Its not paint its vinyal. What happened was when I bought the car it had some crap they call graphics on the outside and I was saving to get them takin off. One day I went into walmart and I come out to find my car had been hit down the one side making big scratches and braking my mirror. My insurance company covered the graphics aswell so I changed them. Something good came out of something bad.

you paint it one color a little more past half the dash then sideways just paint it slow and steady from the other end to the center, if you have steady hands you can get it the way you wanted. thats my second dash cuz i really messed up my first and when i got to down I did it wit the new one. better to use a mini paint gun dont know the proper name of it but you get where im comin from

you know our cars resemble one another in a way, only thing is your front and back has the lip and your front bumper. color rims and style are kinda the same

Everytime I see an interior with a radar detector and that ugly coil going down the radio side the more I think why it wasn't hardwired. I got mine in front of the rearview mirror and wired tapped. Could turn it on and off from the detector itself which always has power when the car is turned on

well we are not all as cool as some people. i like my radar low like the rest of my gauges not rear view mirror height. and i havent bought the wire to put it into the fuse box yet. but i have to pretty much dissasemble the dash to get it where i want it and im not too worried about it right now

Thx bro^^ It took me alot of time to finally decide what style direction I should go. I used Color Bond: Leather, Vinyl, & Hard Plastic Refinisher. It's made specifically for carpets, seats, etc. Tha smell took about 2 weeks to air out. Dries pretty fast, and didn't stick to my clothes at all.
