Powdercoated Valve Covers

Hey guys;

Ok, I'm tossing around the idea here on how to get these to you. There's no valve covers laying out on the market, I will have to go to a dealer to buy new valve covers, and damnit they're not cheap for your cars like they are for srt-4's.

Now if I can get about 4-6 people to step up, and prepay, I'll get some covers in to begin a core charge system (I don't have the funds right now to put out for the brand new covers with other projects going on, co2 spray bars and other things)

New covers are going to run me $130. That will be the core charge. Pricing for powdercoating a valve cover is $65 and if it's a 2 stage color it's $90. If you want the lettering uncoated it's an additional $20. For a 2 stage valve cover it will ultimately cost $90 + shipping charges, however up front it will run $220 +shipping and a single stage would be $195 + shipping. Once valve cover is delievered to you there will be a 30 day allowance in returning your old valve cover core to me, and once received the $130 will be returned.

Colors are endless, candy's, textures, you name it. I can't post a link to my site since I'm not a vendor yet

Ok, now for the 4-6 people that step up to this. If I have 4 people do it I'm going to begin with 2 (TWO) Valve Covers. The first 2 to step up will be in on the first batch, maximum 30 day wait for the next set as if they're not sent back they'll be refunding their core charge. If I get 6 people then I will order 3 valve covers and it will go the same way. Money will need to be paid in advance, and it basically will be the cobalt community partially funding this to get it up off the ground (I'm just eating profits on the first few to pay for the covers) I really hate doing things this way, but quite simply, I have to with your cars since the covers are so expensive, unlike my $36 for a valve cover, gasket, tube seals and oil cap for an srt-4

Lemme know if anybody's interested and willing to do it. Opens up the opportunity for alot more then just a red and black cover from modern for $200+ bones

I wonder why ours is so much more expensive.

Anyway, sounds pretty cool.

Glacial Graphics does incredible work. www.glacialgraphics.net is the company that will be powdercoating the covers and backplates for www.ShowmeStreetCustoms.com. I vouch for his work. It is a nice deal and it works for everybody. Any questions about his work or colors you can also contact me and I can get you any info. you might need.
Thanks,
Jared

I'm down that way all the time too. Do you powdercoat other things, like say sperchargers if I drop it off?

May want to look into powder chrome It looks like polished aluminum actually, good reflective properties, nice silver sheen. **removed per request**

and once it's coated u don't need to worry about polishing it all the time

the super mirror and the black chrome are really nice, another question, how hard is it to take off and put on the valve covers? is this something i could do or something i would have to have a shop do?

I've never done one on your cars yet, so I don't know. Valve cover shouldn't be difficult though

Well I'm 24 years old, I like long walks on the beach, bright starry nights.....

ok, enough joking. Been selling things for about 5 years now, started off with the avenger/sebrings doing decals and things like that. Currently a gold level vendor on srtforums right now, will be taking a bronze spot on here if there's enough interest. Located in Pasadena, MD, i offer powdercoating, performance parts, methanol injection kits, decals and graphics, showboards, custom banners, installation work and much more.

Many of the local MD guys on here have met me, hopefully some of them see this and will chime in as I don't know their screen names. I also work closely with showmestreet customs, and do all of their powdercoating on their products as well.

If ya need anything else, feel free to ask. If you're a definite you'll go in the #1 spot, you'll get the first valve cover to get done as stated above. You will pay the core charge + powdercoating + shipping fees and then have 30 days to return you cover back to be refunded the core charge. When I receive yours back, it will be made up for the 3rd or 4th person on the list and sent to them in the same fashion. Signing up now secures your spot to get it done faster (Hell if only 2 people are definite on this I'll still go out and buy 1 and just do the same thing with that)

And if you're realllly lucky, I may throw in a picture of a chrome kitty too j/p

Nothing says love like an inanimate cat. Seriously though, if I had the funds, make that when I have the funds
