Hey all. I want to buy some new headlights for my red cobalt ss/sc and I just needed everyones opinion on which to get, chrome or black. Here's the link:

They might me cheaper on ebay. Try that if you want to save some money. Either way you can't go wrong.

 

Yeah do ebay, everyone says they are bad, but really they arent

 

Those are first gens and I got my first gens from eBay for 130.
I got the chrome and I like, my cars silver.
I think it depends on the color of your car.
It's just hard to aim them once they are installed.

 

Cobaltaddiction.com had some second gen ones for 240.00 including shipping. Are the second gen ones better quality? Or is there very little difference?

 

The 2nd Gen ones are hit and miss with the CCFL Halos. Mine have worked fine so far, but others have burned out.

Anyways, seriously... use eBay for the lights... you'll save 75-100 bucks for the same damn lights.

 

yeah, ebay has them for like $125.. haha.. they are the same company and everything? I didn't want to buy some cheapo headlights and have them not fit correctly.

 

i got the 3rd gens from 3b spec and they are awesome....had them a few months now with no issues i love them and i also went through 2 sets of first gens before i was happy

 

Get black. First gens are the popular onEs around here. I have two's

 

sounds good man! I definately like the black ones the best. I also ordered an SS emblem to put on the grille of my car. I think it's going to look pretty BA.

 

They're made by the same company and every seller (Both eBay and regular websites) get them from the same distributors.

So the 2nd Gens from eBay and regular websites will still not fit correctly just the same. (If the holes don't line up, just get your shoulder into it until they do ).

 

I have the third gen's and I got them on ebay. I love them and the halos have not burned out and they have been on the car since last year!!!!
