i have the ebay projector headlights. can the halos be changed out without taking the cover off?

 

the led bulbs can, but not the whole halo

 

I guess it depends on which ones you have. I think some are just 2 LEDs per ring and the other kind is a CCFL halo. I don't know how to change the CCFL ones though. Got pics?

Those are just leds that you can remove from the back of the light, idk how though.

wonder how much ccfl rings cost. they are so much brighter and look pimp when lit up at meets with your car sitting.

3bspec has ccfl halos in a bunch of colors

 

They're like $30ish iirc. If you wanna replace them, get led rings, they're cheaper and will last longer. Not exactly the perfect circle of light like ccfls but they're just as bright.

 

there ya go man. I've done this and its pretty easy. Its sometimes a pain in the dick to solder the LEDs to that little board, but other than that its too easy

trying to find the fucken led's but cant on 3bspecs..hey one more thing has anyone changed out their map lights in the rear view mirror for something brighter? lookin at red map light bulbs but dont know if they will work better or not

 

I replaced my map lights with white leds, they're MUCH brighter than stock. 194 bulb. I had them in blue in my old car and they were still brighter than stock. Get wide angle bulbs.
