I have the 1st gens as well. The LED/Halo set up on those are the best looking IMO.

Downfall is a pain to aim, and some minimal dremel work is needed if you go with HID's in them. But still, 1st gens all the way for me.

1st Gen

2nd Gen

And I can't find a pic of the 3rd gens but they are very very similar to the second gens.

EDIT-Also remember all of them come in either chrome or black housings. Although the black housings look the best(but I have the chrome) lol

the beams are all pretty much the same, the 3rd gens have the best cut-off, i owned the 1st Gens and i upgraded to the second gends and yes....it was definately an upgrade. the halo's on the 2nd gens are about 3-4X brighter then 1st or 3rd gen. IMO all the guys telling you to buy 1st gens own the 1st gens and havent tryed out the 2nd gens, just research and def look for pics of them installed on cobalts

yea....huge....i can see like the whole road and about 3X as far with my high beams on than my low beams...and the low beams on the 2nd gen CCFL's are like having silverstar ultra super bright white light bulbs and your high beams on your stocks turned on

you can find the fog light bulb number anywhere on there catalog lists thing at the stores....they are easy.just pull out your headlights and and the headlight cradle ( a few bolts) and look straight down....the projectors you just need to search and pick because they are all right around 200 but make sure your review the seller before purchase..if your looking up 2nd Gen CCFL projectors, i bought mine from Roku Creation....great packaging but it takes like a week to get them..i think i paid like 195 with shipping

for projectors..the 1st and 3rd gens are about the same..but to get color you need to change to a colored bulb....2nd gen CCFL are the brightest...if you just put on the parking lights to make the halos light up then the 2nd gens do light up blue...it just goes away when you turn on the projectors cuz its so bright

I don't know if it' just a compact car thing or what, but i think all of those headlight have more rice than an oriental buffet.

More power to you if you like them, but the just take so much attention away from the rest of the car, and stick out to a point where they're all you'll notice looking at it from the front.
