2nd gen.....Complete plug and play, no wiring for leds or halos

As for aiming there is a how-to just search it up, but they are a lot easier in terms of access to the aiming bolts then the other sets

Kind of how your signature on this forum takes away any intelligence from ANYTHING you say?

your signature is rediculous and out of place on a car forum IMO... but than again... taking a look at where your from... its understandable.

Just thought I would tell you this, because I am sick of seeing it whenver you post and I come to view this PUBLIC AUTOMOBILE FORUM.

This isn't a political forum or blog....why not have something RELATING to your car...cars.... vehicles in general like 99.99% of peeps on this forum.

Now that I have that out of me... Let me remind you Magnus, being one of the many ..many....many......many........................ma ny people who toss around the term "rice/ricer", often not even being true/correct (these headlights are not rice at all)...let me remind you that this style of lighting (halo/angeleyes) was invented and made famous by BMW in what I believe was the early-mid 1980s, before the term "ricer" or rice was really even around. So yeah..... honestly, I think these lights are **** and add a "class" factor to the car, kinda the opposite of what "rice" really does/is.

Just because you do not like someting on a car, doesn't make it Rice......

From what I Gather.... There are VERY FEW things a person can do to his/her vehicle that someone, somewhere on the face of this earth wouldn't call "rice"

Honestly, for any of you gamers out there... lets use an analogy to show how stupid/overplayed the term "ricer/rice" has become and how pop-culture (in the car/auto community) it really is

Rice is to Automobiles as Newb/Noob is to Video Games.

I have 3rd Gen, and while they look great they are horrible for aiming, because the screws are on the bottom of the lights!! I could never get it perfectly aimed because it's such a PIA to take out the lights, adjust the screws, put them back in and then do it all over again untill they are perfect.

I'd prolly would have gone with 2nd Gen if I had known this ahead of time.

Honestly, someone needs to make a thread or just post it here what the difference between GenI, Gen II, and Gen III halo projectors are.. with pix... I thinkt he most popular, because of the CCFL instead of LED lighting, are the Gen IIs... with the LED bar across the top. These are plug and play which also make them popular among folks.

And btw, there were obama sigs/avatars BEFORE i even join this board. Shut it.

When i look back at the headlights BMW made, they were simple and clean. You didn't have thirteen other frigging led's and other crap in them, just two (or one in some cases) halos for lights.

All the additional crap is what makes them look rice to me.
Sorry you don't like my signature, let me paypal you some money so you can buy some Kleenex to wipe those tears away.

1- Then those should be taken out too.. keep politics off the car forums.. I come here to read about the cobalt and get geeked out on cars ( not reminded of the real world almost).

2- Though I prolly wouldn't ever want to have a beer with ya..... I must admit, you have a point when you mention the BMW originals versus the extra led bars and **** in the halo projectors. A lot of members feel the same way as you ( I don't, I like the LED bars) and just disable the LEDs...keeping only the actually projector lamps and Halo rings active.

And by the way.. you don't appear to be a ******* Steer....so that leaves us with one other option. ( FMJ References.. FTMFW)
