Projector Light Beam
Projector Light Beam
Hey guys, I have a question about the projectors that I haven't seen answered. I ordered the projectors and they will be here tuesday march 27, 2007 and thought i would ask something. Do these projectors show a different color when driving towards someone? For example, when i'm driving towards someone with projectors, their light seems really blue/purple but when i get up on them their light turns white....just wondering if the same thing happens with these projectors or not....here is a pic that kinda shows purple from another memeber on this site and just didn't know if it was his camera or not....

Thanks guys

Thanks guys
it's not the color that changes, it's the way you see the light... color is based on temperature, with the lower temps being more bluish, and the higher the temp the more redish it gets. you were probably seeing the other peoples lights THROUGH the beam of your light, which would change the color temperature.
so you are saying that this is just his camera? that the projectors with the stock bulbs won't give off a purple color when at an angle?
Anyone know?

but the picture above said he has the stock bulbs in it...and he said they look yellowish like the stock ones...but purpleish when at an angle...just didn't know this is true or not...cuz i dunno if i'll like the purpleish look....
A friend of mine has these lights , and yes ....like all projector lenses , the flicker is like what your describing . Even a stock halogen will flicker blues and purples at certain angles .
thank you silver....lol exactly the answer i was looking for...thanks!
but i dunno if i'll like it....but they do look good on the Balts so i guess i won't care

those color are made by the HID not by the projector. the change for color is by your position to the projector (if you look toward the car to the bulb you will see a purple or blue color, and white from the size)
The flicker he is talking talking about is produced by the way the light casts thru the convexity of the projector lens at various angles not the bulb itself . Look at ANY car with a halogen bulb and projector lens . It flickers just the same . The HID just makes it more dramatic and the colors are more vibrant due to the pure whiteness of the bulb .
actually no...this is a picture of a member on this website that has the STOCK bulbs that came with the projectors in....not HIDs
