had paint pin strip put on need help its peeling
in july of last year i had a black pin strip put on my 06 cobalt and its starting to peel i went back to the place that i was told was good at this **** "also were it was done" and there closed. were its peeling it looks like they just painted it on and they did nothing to the surface of my car so any ideas how to get it off with out messing up my paint on the car????? please help "my dad says it looks like cheep dulpex paint you buy at walmart lol"
wet sand with 1000 grit paper to get the pinstrip off.
then wetsand with 2500 to smooth it out be careful to not take off all the clear!!!
Then buff to a shine!
Not a job for someone with no previous paint experiance, Gm has notoriously thin amounts of clear on thier cars.
If you strip the clear you are fucked and will need a painter to fix it!!!

i was told by a chevy dealership that if i were to used easy off oven cleaner "by spraying it on to the car let it sit for like 5 mins then wipe off the pin strip will come off, then i would just need to buff it" is this true?
