Question about headlights....

So I have 1st Gen projectors with 8000k HID's in them. But I am not happy with them because the halos and leds keep being weird on me, so I want to get a pair of black housing stock cobalt headlights from ebay.

My question is (No flaming, yes I know)

What would I have to do to swap my HID kit over to the stock cobalt headlights, I know I'd have to buy the right HID bulb for the headlight type...but if I want low/high beams with these would I have to buy a new harness?

Again no flaming, I know HID's in reflector housings make people mad, so you don't have to tell me.

bump

bump again

they wont work since your projectors are h1 and stockers are 9007.new hids need to be ordered in the 9007 form

besides buying the correct bulb for the stockers, I don't think you'll have to buy an new harness for the lo/hi. I think with normal HIDs you lose the high beams, on the stockers. If you want a lo/hi beam I think you will have to purchase a bi-xenon kit, or maybe just the bulbs? I'm not sure on that one, but its a start

well the bulbs that are in there now won't work, but it's a 9007 harness with H1 bulbs from 3B spec. I don;t think i'll need a new harness unless I want to go high low, but I might just keep the low beam only. I rarely use high beams anyway since HID's are so bright. All I should have to change is the bulb and the headlight obviously.

The only difference in the bi-xenon bulb kit's it the location of the bulb it self. Same bulb, it just moves forward or back in the housing.

I would recommend a set of projector housings, but I am biased. I have had mine since Oct. 2007 and would never go back.

However to answer your question, all you need is the new HID kit to fit the 9007.
