question about hid kit.

i bought the G3 projectors and they take a h1 bulb. so i was wondering if neone bought the heavy duty wiring harness? i guess that hooks directly to the battery. should i buy the hd wiring harness or dont worry bout it. let me know what u guys think and if i would buy the wiring harness i would buy the h1 harness right?

dont bother with the heavy dutty wiring hids will run less power than halogens so there is no need, but they do take more start up power, i have 4 ballast in my car running for a long time and everything is fine

if you have a relay with your kit, use it.
running 10 thousand volts through your stock wiring, while it may work....should always be avoided if you can.

I'm paranoid of burn ups... I ran dual 18ga from the supply to each ballast.
Over kill... yes... but in an engine compartment in the dead heat of summer, that wire won't appreciate the start up spike.

the initial ignition is only momentary.

its up to you if you want it or not.
alot of people dont, for me its a good piece of mind investment.

so i should buy the relay harnesses? is it worth buying them for 49 a piece or not?

i dont understand what it does. that helps them turn on quickly or not? and the warm up is how long for them to turn on when u turn ur lights on? 49 is that reasonable price for relay harnesses? relay harnesses is for more juice to go thru the wires to the ballasts? so less time to turn them on?

it doesnt change anything at all with the performance of the kit

all it does, is allow the large burst of power that is drawn during ignition, to be drawn through some big gauge wires directly from the battery, instead of through the small stock headlight wiring system.

yeah but i did read something bout they give u bigger fuses to replace the fuse in ur car for ur headlights or something. i dont know if that helps it or not. so the warm up time isnt that tho? is there neother places that have the relay harness cheaper.
