Hey guys.

In my interior, I've got a couple blue neon accents. Blue under dash neons, and I just bought a radio bar by Optix. I got it at Advanced Auto Parts. It has an extra little box that lets you adjust it do "dance" to music and stuff. Yeah, whatever. lol. I just bought it to fit it up above where my AC outlet is on the bottom of my dash to illuminate the cup holder area. It looks really sweet, there's just one issue. When it's on, there's a really high pitched noise coming from the controller box. Like a whistle. Is something defective in the unit and I should go return it for another one or what's going on? I also have a neon in my trunk (in place of the trunk light) and it doesn't make any noise. WTF? lol.

I don't have that controller box, but mine doesn't make any noise. I have friends who have it, but doesn't make any noise.... What I would do is TAKE IT BACK if it's not too much trouble taking off & putting back together.

 

Actually, I didn't filly "install" it yet. IE, tucking wires and such. I just did a test fit. The problem is though, I don't have the packaging. I threw it away right after I bought it. lol. And, I bought it with cash, so I threw away the receipt too.. So I think I'm kinda screwed. But I may be able to go in and just completely trade for another, right? Even sans receipt?
