Quick question to those running HID's and DRL's

My Cobra came with 8K HID's when I bought it. After driving the Cobalt around so much at night, I miss the effect and lighting. My question is:

Do I need the 10.00$ DRL module?

I am seeing mixed things about this, But I am guessing in order for my DRL's to work, I have to buy the module?

I am ordering from 3B Spec, 10k with PnP wiring harness, and 35W digital Ballast..

Quick hand, please? Thank you.

If your a 07 and up just pull your DRL fuse. you'll have to just turn your lights on by yourself though.

My car is a 2008. So, in which way you're going; Pull the fuse and do not get the DRL module?

If I want to keep the DRL, I have to buy the module though, correct?

Sorry if I'm being a bit ignorant.

Yea you can pull your DRL fuse in the fuse box under the hood. Ive never heard of this module so hopefully someone can give you a solid answer. But I have a 06 so I dont have DRL's, but if I did I would just pull the fuse.

Thank you for the suggestion, I as well hope to get some input on this. I know HID's do not like to run on anything less than full power, so this Module makes me wonder. It's only 10 dollars, So I can't imagine it would hurt!

I have the DRL module and the issue I had was the DRL fuse kept blowing. I couldn't figure out why so I just pulled the fuse. The lights still come on automatically when its dark, but if there is too much light the headlights will stay off.

Ya the DRL module really doesn't work that well. also get a relay harness so that your hids take power directly from the battery so you don't burn out your stock wiring.

I agree. I read a lot about the DRL module and people said they didnt work well so I just ended up pulling the fuse. Works like a charm!

I have gen 3 lights and I still got DRLs (in three diff. ways they can be on), I had my lights pro-installed, though. Not sure how they were done.
