Race Numbers

Hey just wanted to get some reactions on these race numbers on the SS. They are vinyl on a magnetic sheet, so the can be removed at will. I would use these for track events and if I just feel like being a jerk.

Also here is the image I have been working from to test out ideas on what I would like to do on the car. I haven't finished the rear view yet. Again just curious as to your thoughts and suggestions.

Yeah we will see, i am very particular about the care of my car, especially since it is black.
I don't plan on running with the numbers on everyday, just for autocross and other sorts of events.

But when i did put them on the don't move at all, we'll have to see how the hold up on freeway speeds.

I bet it would look really cool if you did a photo shoot with it on a trailer and a sweet Chevy truck with big chrome 20's pulling it.

I also am not a fan of decals or stripes... Though I do like the 1 red stripe going down the middle. Rather than having 2.

looks like mudd tires in the pic. a little less tread definition wouldn't hurt.

If you offset the stripe to one side it would probably look awesome too. But not too much to the side, then it looks dum.

Well i just drew up that idea, it was loosley based on a racing hart wheel that was shown on one of the early Cobalt show cars. The other key to it is to find some redline tires. I found a company that is doing it on tires that may fit a SS. check it out. http://dbtires.com/

I will try to gin up some different stripe ideas tonight and post them. I do agree that one
stripe biased to the drivers side could look sweet.

But nobody seems to be digging on the numbers, I thought they would be great for autocross events and the such. Is it just the idea of numbers on the car that are buggin you guys or the execution. Just curious.

Thanks for the crits thus far, keep em coming. some positive ones would be good, i don't want me ego crushed.

I don't like the chevy symbol in with the numbers,

And redlines would be hot with that rim.
