That's what mine was, just a long sheet of mesh and I had to cut it. Wire cutters get the job done pretty easily. PartsAmerica is the same as Advance, I think Checker is the equivalent to Advance out there. PepBoys works too, they usually have a pretty good selection.

Thanks...yeah I like the stealthy look of it too. I looked at the billet grill long and hard before going with the mesh. It wasn't the looks that swayed me, I was more concerned with airflow but now that I have the mesh on I REALLY like it.

The sedan isnt a performance 2.0 motor its a different car completely, and if you never plan on driving your SS around like a nut case the grill will be fine but it does restrict air so keep an eye on your temp.

If you dont think it does just think about it some more... putting a grille or for that matter anything in front of a fan will cause less air to pass through.... same thing with your car thats why there isnt one there in the first place

Every one seems to be concerned with air flow.

First I'd say my grill is the most restrictive, but it is also a neglagable difference when it come to Engine Temp. I realy push my Car hard, and drive it like it's ment to be driven. and I made sure to note the temp. difference, and I've driven over 3000km with the grill and the engine is still running at the same temp.

I'd only be worried about Air flow if I had a ram air scoop in that area. Even then I would doubt it would be any kind of significant differance that you would notice when driveing

I just got mine from autozone. $35 for the grille and $2 for the ties. I would put it on now but i'm under a tornado warning Pics to come soon!

Oh yea, I may also paint it white. It would match the SS emblem very well, then I would paint the black vents in the back too. What do you all yall think? White mesh or just leave it? (Its a Red SS)

If it works fine then it woprks fine, I'm jsut sayin its common sense you wont get as much air if you put something in the way....

I almost painted mine but in the end I like the kinda inconspicuous look of the plain mesh. Sucks about the tornado warning, hopefully both you and the car are protected!
