The gens are different Projector styles. None of them will come with hids, you will need to order a kit if you get those too. I will never recommend hids in the stock housing due to glare, though others will say that they don't glare. Check the sticky at the top of the page, it will show the differences in the headlight gens along with the bulb sizes. IMO gen 4s are the best ones. Or get retrofits, which are an actual projector designed to handle hids put into the stock housing. Most expensive route, but by far the best performance.

Agree 100%. The only time I've condoned HID's in stock housings was with tinted lenses. I would save the money and buy retros if I were you. Maven makes some badass retros and his harnesses are far better than other's I've used...

HIDs in stock housings are awesome. Glare is non existent with the way our lights are designed and the curvature of them. A 9007 Bi-Xenon kit will allow you to still have high beams which with our tru Bi-Xenon kits will blow you away with how much light they throw down the road. Retrofit headlights are also a very popular choice and the best when using HIDs. Also remember the higher the K (temp) you go the less you will see. If you want blue and still see i would get 8,000k.

Keep an eye out for our black friday sale! will be huge this year!

It's modifying the stock headlight housing to hold a projector engineered to emit the best light output possible using hid bulbs. No other lighting modification will get you an output as wide or as smooth as a set of retrofitted projectors. PNP kits in the stock housing will work ok, they certainly glare a lot less than most other headlights I've seen, but you don't get as wide of an output, or as smooth of a beam. When I had my retrofits I could light up an entire 6 lane road. With the stock headlights the best you'll probably get is maybe 2.5 lanes or so. As a general definition for retrofitting it's taking something that wasn't designed to be used in something and making it work.

I'm thinking to buy the black gen. 3 with blue LEDs and 8k bulbs from you. Do you think it is a good choice? Because I don't really like the look of the retrofits
