You need to get some springs first.

The front bumper will fit perfect, the rear bumper will have a few fastener locations that dont line up because the ss wheel well is lower to the ground. Still it will fit fine.

If you do get both bumpers i would recommend getting some side skirts as well so the height looks even all around.

I've also been reading that the SS front doesn't come with the grille? but my LS comes with it built in.. is this true?

True. You dont need the lower SS one. I dont care who you are, if you put a lower grille in there, you are slowing airflow to your cooling pack. Not much, but some.

Thanks alot, this is my new project car, my last car a did up was a 97 grand am gt, loved the thing, I dislike the body kits for the cobalts and I couldn't affoard an SS on insurance so.. I have to make my LS look like an SS.
Hopefully I'll have somthing by next week and I can share pics.

the reason for not lowering it, is.. i live in canada and this is my only car so i have to drive it in the winter. it sucks! and knowing me i'll say, oh i dun need to raise it yet, drive it in the snow and get stuck and ruin something cobalts arn't good snow plows

huh??? the body of the ss is shaped no different than the LS....the only reason its lower is suspension....which lowers the whole body, wheel well and bumper and all

What i mean is, the bumper is lower to the ground than the stock bumper. Therefore there the last hole on the bottom of the ss bumper wont line up with the last hole in the wheel well.
