Here you go have these and they are bright and have built in resistors so they don't stay on dim like other led's.

^looks like it, click on the picture of the bulb to see more pictures and looks like on the backside of it theres a resistor. also none of the reviews complain about it staying dimly lit, although they do all report fitment issues.

is that for the trunk?

I have that festoon bulb in blue. Going to buy a soft white soon because I'm getting sick of not being able to see clearly lol. Anyways, yes this bulb does stay dim when the car is off or doors are closed. But, pretty much no power from these. so, you won't kill your battery.

How dim?
There is an unknown one in my car now and "dim" is like half power.

Less that half power for sure. I can take a day time pic of the bulb while its "dim". Not noticeable really. I actually totally forgot it does it until I read this thread.

well the ones that efren posted up top were 100 lumens and according to that website those were the 'brightest leds' so these 175 lumens that i posted should be starship commander status

I have Red LED map lights.
They are not bright..
But they are bright enough to read a map on the side of a road without taking out your night vision.
Probably not legal... Especially when driving.

I personally have these and yes the lights do go out completely unlike other map led's where they still stay on but very dim. These are very bright and have built in resistors and completely shut off no dimming at all and with every penny.
