Remove front facia plastic.

Hello all.

Ive been searching for a bit now so ill just ask the question.

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic parts on the front exterior of the cobalt? I have an LT w/ fog lights and would like to paint them a gloss black to match my car (not liking that greyish black plastic look). Im at work right now and cant post a pic but im pretty sure someone here knows what im talking about. ths the left, middle and right parts with the left and right having fog lights in them. Im hoping that i wouldnt have to remove the entire front facia.

Again I apologize if there is a link on here about that that i havnt found.

You'll have to pull the inner fender wells to be able to get to the fog lights on the side...

jack up the car, take off the front tire(s) and unscrew the 9-10 7mm screws holding on the inner fender well... same way you'd change a fog light bulb.

From there I have no idea as I haven't seen that side of a LS/LT front end... but there are probably either clips, screws, or poppers holding the black pieces in. You should be able to get to the center piece without too much of an issue... it should just be right up under the car.

you can attack the clips from under the car no need for jacking. i painted mine black as well.

in the pic you can see the upper and center grill insert are black. i was in the middile of the job at this point.

p.s. now the headlights are smoked post a new pic win the car gets home.

yeah you can get at the back side from under the car if you're laying on your back.
