retro headlight issue

i just installed a pair of retro headlights that i bought. i got them all wired up and when i was checking them out noticed a problem. im not sure on the brand of hids. i know they are 35w and 6000k

with the engine off if i try to turn the brights on nothing happens. but, once i start the engine and try it they come on. but when i go to turn the brights off the drivers side stays on.

any ideas??

i will try to take a video of it tomorrow and post it up.

here is a pic of the wiring..

the black box in the middle is the controller.

like i said though the wiring i figured out. i just have the problem with the brights staying on on the drivers side. i dont really need brights so can i just disconnect a wire and not have the brights work?

Sounds like either the controller is messed up or something is wired backwards.

^^^^ this or make a custom cutoff shield. That's just how the G3s are. You do need to rotate yours though, the flat lower cutoff should be level with the ground.

More like you got a different set. He's had 3 different projector styles since he started selling retros.

I've got his newest set. I bought mine from The Retrofit Source, but they're the same thing. The ones shown with the slope cutoff are his 2nd ones he had, which he no longer sells.
