maybe I'm retarded. I know they had adaptors to run d2s bulbs on standard ballasts. I can't find them now for some reason.

Edit: found it

yea i had just found it as well too. they sell it on 3b as well where im getting my bulbs from. i would get them from TRS but they want 94 bucks for bulbs compared to 3b's 12.50 for D2S bulbs. im sure TRS is better but eff it ill take that $70 savings. i will order the DS2 to AMP plug from TRS due to the shipping situation....

I'm sure there will be enough pics here of the setup that you could figure it out just by looking at them. Kevin's usually pretty good about updating with lots of pics.

yea seriously i pretty much did a how to if u look at my last work related post lmao. but its gonna be hard to make a how to for something like this. every projector you get will be a little different. If you find one that is the same dimensions as the stock 3rd gen projector then ull be off to a much easier start. Just pretty much swap and go if the holes are lined up right for the adjustment screws

I have a feeling she'd just slow things down. You'd be taking **** breaks every 10 minutes.

Bump. You ever finish these?
The S2K-R is delayed for the forseable future so I'm going with RX330 as well for my 4th gens. Making a custom shield though.

I want to retrofit my Gen 3's and shave and fill the LED's in the shroud to delete them all together from the light.

Heres my old Gen 3 setup.
Started like this:

Then this, 3BSpec Orange CCFL halo's i put in there.

Well the clearcoat on my lenses start peeling so I have to remove them to repaint them.

I had some spare Gen 4's in my attic. Bought OEM lenses, blacked them all out with basecoat clearcoat. Put them on my car temporarily untill my Gen 3's are done.

Pic of these:

Well Now I got my Gen 3's apart. Seems like a straight forward retrofit. Heres some pics of my progress so far.

What Projecto's should I get to swap them out with. I was thinking FX-R's. Or Acura TL's. Opinions?

How did you get your angel eyes in and what did you seal it with? Also what bulbs are the LEDs on the 3rd gen? Id love to have red cffls and red LEDs

Parts are on their way. Just waiting on projectors and bulbs. It's gonna take a bit of time though bc I'm doing a custom curved shield. Should have them done next month though.
I'll take lots of pics

definitly do it. 4th gens i can picture being a pain in the ass too. ud have to get a mini projector to fit behind the chrome shroud. thats all 1 piece so hacking it up and getting it to look right would be a project

4th gens with some morimotos in them would probably work well .. they're rather small projectors

I got the same projectors as you. I'll make it work somehow.
I've got some things in mind but I'll have to wait till I get them to see what all I'll need to do.

Another good thing about these lights vs retros as far as I'm concerned... I like having a halogen high beam that I can flash, and just another set of lights that are on a different relay for redundancy purposes in case my HID's relay or ballast fails.

Although I'm also kinda curious how the gen 3 retrofit turned out if they are in fact done.
