These vendors kill me..."prices too low to advertise". It's a friggin' site dedicated to Cobalt enthusiasts. What's the bloody secret with the prices. I thought these forums are here to share information to help us. I don't know if I speak for myself but I feel these vendors are taking advantage of these forums and there is only a handful that actually provide advice and support. Well, you can probably guess which ones I'm gonna buy from.

Without sounding too harsh, you would need to understand what MAP is or "Minimum Advertised Pricing". This keeps the value of products up and is put in place by manufactures to do so. An example would be say XYZ Performance builds a part and it sells for $100 retail. XYZ will set a MAP for it at say 5%. This means that NO ONE who sells their products can advertise this product for less than $95. If a company does, then XYZ will pull their account and no longer sell to the retailer. This keeps price wars from happening. BUT.... If you call and strike a deal with a retailer or the retailer says that their prices are "too low to advertise" then you bet that they are lower than anyone's advertised price out there.

I hope that clears things up.

Eibach and H&R just added to the sale.

See the suspension section for more details to avoid cross posting.

lol people like you kill me, I own a Hobby Store and I have the same rules as any other retailer with my people. There is SMAP (suggested min advertised price) MAP (min ad price) ect ect... So when people say prices too low or so low we cant tell you.... its the truth, its ashame you must have missed out on some good deals thinking it was all a joke

sorry if I came off as harsh I just hate when I have to explain this alllll day in my store, lol I never thought I would on here

MAP PRICING = Keeping the little guy in business so wal-mart doesnt sell it for 1000% off
