I just got the hood installed and painted.. and it looks good and stuff.. The only issue I have (cause I am picky) is the drivers side of the hood (on the front) is sitting a little higher at the grill. And also the sides of the hood isn't level with the fenders.. It sits a little higher in the middle portion of the hood.

Now after looking at some pictures on here.. It looks as though that is the way the hood is.. Maybe it's just the say the molds are coming out.. But too me the hoods should sit perfect just like the stock hood...

Does anyone have some up close pictures of there hoods to compare.. I mean I guess maybe I am just too picky...

If that is the way it sits.. Then I am thinkin I might just sel the hood if someone wants it.. I might pick up a carbon fiber hood.

 

I had to adjust the stoppers under the hood and i removed the one middle one so it would latch. The only thing i dont like about my cf hood is that the passenger side has more of a gap than the drivers side. but i couldnt get it adjusted to be even.

 

Ya.. I will try to take out the middle one. that whats mine is doing.. Only my drivers side is a little higher then the passenger side... I removed that back stoppers at the top of the hood.. I think I am gonna play with the latch a bit to see.

 

i hope mine fits perfectly when i get it cuz that carbon fber version is $$$

 

Guys, one thing everyone has to remember is,
NOTHING THAT IS AFTERMARKET FITS PERFECT! It's a known fact. Good luck with the hoods though, they are sweet

 

yeah that is true haha nothing seems to fit perfect. I got CF becuz the price you would pay for a fiberglass hood + paint would still be more than CF. I got my hood for 500.

 

where at for 500 and was that including shipping?

 

no shipping cuz one of there warehouses was like 30 minutes away so i picked it up haha...why pay 150 for shipping when they are only coming from like 20 miles away
