Already have like 4 from a trip to Austin from Houston last week. Ugh.

Can you buy the paint color for your cobalt at chevrolet dealerships?

Don't know about your question. But I used some mother's wax and it took the stone chips on mine right out.

I think he means stone chips as in, chipped down to the metal. There is no wax that will fix that since the paint is gone.

GM dealership MIGHT have touch up paint...I don't know if anyone else has it yet or not, it all depends on if the color has been used on previous cars. I already looked for Arrival Blue though and haven't found any touch-up for that color.

If you don't feel like spending the money to have a bodyshop repair the chips, you can try and do it yourself first - Dupli-Color makes a Scratch/Chip Repair Kit for about $13, it includes everything you need to fix the damage yourself.

Here's a pic of the kit:

Basically it includes everything but the paint, which you would probably have to get at the dealer, since its a newer color.

Once you get the paint, just follow the instructions, and it should come out very nicely for $13

The paint is under warranty?? Is there anywhere in the manual/warranty papers that says that? (so I can take it up there?).

Ditto that. I'd LOVE to have them fix the chips in my paint (especially since the paint around them is brittle and flakes off) under warranty but I figured they wouldn't do it.

That's what I would expect. The only thing I might take up with them is the fact that the paint is flaking off around the chips. I've NEVER had a car do that. Sure, if you pick at it it will, but on mine all I did was rub the bottom of my thumb over it and 4 or 5 pieces flaked off.

Yeah I want a C/F hood that looks exactly like the stock one so I can paint it. No one will ever know the difference
