Seatbelt bolt

Im putting new suede headliner in to finish my interior and I cant get the Hex bolt out that holds the seat belt on! The seat belt is attached to the plastic piece that goes around the rear side windows and that bolt is keeping me from getting the plastic piece off. Do I need to just try harder or has anyone else had this problem?

yea, instead of using a ratched, get a breaker bar on that and maybe even an extension for TQ.

Well I haven't got it yet just need to go pick it up. I just ran out of time today, do to the problem, but Joanne Fabric has it and as far as glue im using a adhesive. But for armrest I dont think it would be strong enough it might have to be sowed on.

Yea. im going to staple it to the under side of the lid, but i didnt want it to move around on the top and then get stretched out so i wanted to use a minor adhesive on the top of the so the fabric holds stiff and doesnt move around like you t-shirt sleeve on your skin (sorry, best analogy i could come up with lol)

Yea that should definitely work! I bet its gonna be hard tho to pull it tight around the armrest.

ok.. hows this for an issue. I need to replace my rear panels cuz mine are all scratched and i got free ones.

i cant get the bolt lose either. used an impact, nada. used a breaker bar like 3 feet long and it actually bent and broke the bits i was using.

so, my question is. how the hell do i get this thing off??? the dealer wanted to charge me a couple hundred minimum!

Put a pipe over the ratchet handle, extend your leverage.

buy better bits....i actually used an autozone bit....power built brand...and that thing can take a beating....but you said you used an impact. how strong is that impact...might need a stronger one

I went through 3 bits when I took mine off to add a harness. You definatley need a breaker bar and a hell of a strong bit.

Dont even try any zinc bits. They crumble on the first try.
