Seats?

Hey guys..

So I was looking at alot of seats lately.. All kinds of companies make Recaro looking seats and sell them for good prices. A friend of mine had some and they looked really good, but they're pretty uncomfortable. Regardless, do they make bracket sets for those seats for our cars? Because I was just going to get the factory Recaros, but they're like 500 bucks. I can get a set of RSX seats for like 300. I like the RSX seats alot personally. The EP Civic Si seats too. All those styled seats. I know things can be custom fabricated.. But I don't want to do that. I basically want a bolt-in. Wanting a basic bolt in I know the factory Recaros would be easier, but how much harder would the RSX seats be..??

Thanks!

Do you have a 11 second cobalt or something? Cause if not, I see no point in looking for "racing" seats. Theyre all uncomfortable, and in a stock or slightly modded 4 banger, it pretty ricey.

as long as you get some seats that aren't one peice, and reclineable, i think you'd be able to just buy the brackets, most companies have brackets that fit their lines of seats.

as far as ricer, as long as they're tasteful, i think it's a great mod. most race seats i've sat in are very comfortable. google "Bride" they have some pretty nice seats.

Maybe you should blow yourself. 6 posts and you're acting hard. ha.

Anyway. I didn't say I was getting RACING seats. I never once said I was getting those eBay ones. I just find our Cobalt seats to be ugly and uncomfortable. The RSX seats looks great and are very comfortable.

Are the factory Recaros ricey, Mr. Tough-Guy..??

only a couple companies make brackets, corbeau does but its hard to get em unless your ordering seats from them, you have to find a dealer with a good rep and they can get you the brackets. Or there is a company online that sells them they make to order. I think gravana might have some too. I made mine when we did my seats, pics of seats are in my vb garage

yeah you might want to calm down there. I had racing seats in my car, kept me in place very well for auto-X and road racing. Plus they looked good and were very comfortable. They were Recaro's we had re covered

I do agree. If you have a stock Geo Metro you may want to walk past the racing seat area at Pep Boys. However, if you drive anything else, and do it tastefully, there's nothing wrong. "Rice" is different to everyone. So don't start actin' all hard on your 6th post buddy. This forum is great, so don't be a douche.

I'll probably just stick to getting the factory Recaros.. The custom seats seem to be alot of extra work..

As for WhiteSSBalt.. That pic of the cat is ******* incredible. hahahahah

You must have a set in your Camaro then.

I had RACING seats (oooOOOOOoooOOoOooo!!!) and they were decent. Came with brackets and sliders from Gravana.

See? Those don't look bad? For my car you'd have to go black, but with the red, that looked clean.

Meanwhile, his Camaro runs 12's. haha

What color is your car. Check out the pics of my seats in my vb garage and agllery.

if you want those I bet you if you go talk to Chuck the sales manager at Baierl Mitsubishi they would trade you the seats out of my car for your stock seats, they would give you the harnesses too. You probably wouldnt have to pay but a little for labor and it would be easier to sell my car with stock seats in it. Just a thought but Chuck is a great guy and if you want em it would be worth a try

I really like those, however the car is black with a blue accent so the red might be kinda off.. Plus my factory interior is black/grey cloth.. So he wouldn't do it anyway probably.. But thanks for the heads up!
