Yeah... what the **** is that? That's supposed to look better than a stock one cut to 1 or 2 inches?

Can someone tell me which way I turn to take off my stock antenna? I bought a shorty but when I do the 'left loosy' it just seems difficult to twist off, and I really don't want to break it

Be sure to wrap the wrench in a rag if you want to save the stocker, or it will get scratched like crazy.

i cut my stock antenna with a sawzaw at work then used a file to file the tip then put the ball back on and then used a flat black to paint it all 1 color again. looks great IMO. I made it the exact same hieght as the spoiler. i wanna say it came out to 11 inches total. hmmm.. free vs 20-40 dollars. i'll take free! and custom

x2

i knew thats what he was gonna end up with when he started asking about local auto stores...they dont carry stubby's

bro, take that off take it back and either cut your stocker or order a stubby

before i bought my stubby i cut my stocker about 6 inches and i didnt even take it off the car. wire cutter..cut where you want take the ball and put it in a vice...drill it out a tad and put it back on then take cheap paint a pray the ball and your done..took me ten min.

your gonna have to go into the trunk and pull the lining back and get a vice grip on the bottom end of the antenna assembly and hold it still while you wrench it off from the top. same thing happened to a buddy of mine on his balt. but that did the job

So the Auxiliary Contact doesn't use the antenna for signals? I know the Aux opens closed networks but I always thought that had to do with the antenna.

Un screwed the antenna and put a tire valve cover over the screw might hot glue gun the valve cover to it so it stays in place.
