Shorty Antenna.. ?

I haven't tried messing with the original antenna yet but does it just screw off....?? otherwise how does my mpx shorty screw in/on?? IF you got one or know how the other one comes off, that would help.

old screws off () MPx screws on

just make sure you get the one for your year, some years are different sizes (05-06)

It just unscrews from the body, the shaft should be left in place so just thread the new one on. Not hard to do, Ive switched mine a few times.

it screws off, but your gonna want to grab the base inside the trunk with a pair of vice-grips because if you dont youll twist the bracket and probably break it. our antennas like to seize on

seems simple and I hope its the right year, its in my hand right now lol

My bracket is already broke when I first got the car I bought a car cover and when I was unscrewing the antenna I wasn't holding the base sooo yeah.. it wobbles a little bit.. ha



Ill give it a look tomorrow

i honestly hate my shorty i get crappy reception everywhere with it. Not a happy purchase for me at least.

Took my antenna out and it wont unscrew

Here's some pics..

I was twisting at the flat part on the antenna(you can tell where I've scraped it a little bit) and the silver part..








And I think my wire might be tearing... how would I fix that??
