Alright I've searched the forum to try and see which shorty is best (MP or ARK) but they both seem to have gotten mixed reviews...so based on your experience or knowledge and stuff, which would you recommend? (I have an 09 LT) TY

i have a mp, and it works great, took a second to put on, and it looks fine, no more Remote control cobalt

 

i just took my antenna, put it in a vice, secured it at the desired length and.. snap! instant free shorty antenna. works like a charm, looks sweet too

 

did same thing... i used a vacum cap to cover where i cut it and it looks stock

 

I Have the mp. It came chipped up. My radio sucks. I just took it off

 

You ordered it and it came chipped? that sucks *****

 

I have the MPx one looks great and the Radio still works for what i need

 

I'd have to say the ARK, I had the MP one and it didn't fit exactly, but could have been install error

 

i have the MPx one on both my balts and it works intermitantly. depends on where im at more than anything but i hardly ever use my radio so i dont care too much about how well it functions.

First thing I did when I got my cobalt was take off that antenna and I put a white rubber cap on the end sticking out of my car. Looks way better!!!! really dont understand why gm put this huge ****** antenna. riuns the look of the car. With the technologie that we have they should have put it in the window or with the onstart and xm radio on top of the roof.

 

I have the MPx and I listen to the radio all the time with zero loss in reception. I don't live in the sticks but I don't live in the city eather.

 

i just unscrewed my antenna and placed a vaccume cap over the little nub thats there, radio still works perfectly for me

 

Yeah I guess that's what ya get or 20 bucks or something

 

Dam..I still don't know which one...how would you go about cutting the stock antenna down anyways? ,y guess is you get a saw and you slice that bitch in half lol

 

best way is with a good set of bolt cutters, snaps it right off and you don't even have to remove it from the car to do.

 

i have the ark, had sh!tty reception on my SS/SC but so far on the SS/TC it has been fine...its just a lil expensive

 

I have the ARK. Never tried the normal radio with it, because I am either listening to XM or a CD. I think the ARK looks nicer. I looked at both before I made my purchase a few years ago.
