Should I Get These?

Just not sure about this site, 100 dollars and free shipping is a good deal but I know nothing about this brand or website. Any input?

$100 is a good deal, but honestly for that much they probably aren't the best in quality haha

$100 sounds about right for 1st gens. That style's a little dated now so you can get them for cheap no matter where you go.

I see so many stock base models around here anything other than stock would be nice at this point and black would go well with my color scheme I'm going with, not trying to threadjack but my question is this I already have high/low hid ballasts and bulbs in my stock headlights and I know the bulb types are different but could I get the different sized bulbs and use the same ballast or do I have to get another complete kit cause if so I'm probably gonna just pop out the orange lenses and paint my stock housings black, like I said ballin on a budget is tough, lmao

ah another headlight explanation from cobalt08ls. i have used that site before there legit.
but i WOULD NOT waist your money on gen 1 headlights.
here are my reasons why..

1 they are a pain to aim
2 the cutoff isnt that great
3 they leak
4 the lenses eventually will peal
5 the LED's will blow to the top.
6 the halo led's suck and blow too.
7 there cheaply made
8 they are garbage.

SO i would either get gen 4's or retro fit headlights or paint your stockers.

hope this helps

theretrofitsource.com or buyhids.com IMO don't be cheap you'll regret it after you buy another set later..

1 they are a pain to aim its not impossible though
2 the cutoff isnt that great its actually one of the best cutoffs before going to retros
3 they leak thats hit or miss on quality, my buddies have sets that are leak free for 3 years. its an easy fix if they do leak
4 the lenses eventually will peal that depends if you run HIDs or not to prolong lense life
5 the LED's will blow to the top. can always convert to 12v LEDs and solve issues
6 the halo led's suck and blow too. these are CCFL halos, problem solved
7 there cheaply made. for $100 what do you expect..
8 they are garbage. ...opinion...

gen4's can have half the issues you listed above too, so your argument is invalid

to prevent a 5 page thread argument to the OP get retrofit's or just put hids in your stock headlights and deal w it
retrofit headlights are being more common to the cobalt community. aftermarket lights just cant be built without having a single problem. even with gen 4 headlights you will get stress cracks.
as long as you get the retros sealed right you wont have any problems with them

Almost easier to buy these instead of ordering CCFL's and replacing the halos I have in my GEN 1's I got from BUYHIDS

My gen 1s have been great, plus I took mine apart and modded them to be different. Turned out good.

idk if id trust that they have ccfls. sounds like a bait and swap or a bad listing. if you do still buy them i would expect to be let down and pay with paypal AND pay that with a credit card. although u might **** off paypal if u do a charge back

Yeah I used to have retros but I regret selling them but I'm thinking of just getting hids for my heads and fogs. I'm going to go with xentec, I've heard they are pretty good for the price

I just tried to order these lights off of the site and they said that the price is a mistake. Its showing the price for the HID conversion kit only and not the headlights. They are still $270.

Nope, they didn't mention them. Just said the price was a glitch on their site.
