Which Shroud to use on Mini h1?
Which Shroud to use on Mini h1?
Hey guys, finally got money together for a full Stage 3 kit, I have ddm kit with bulbs but I think its time to step up the quality. Im ordering mini h1's for my cobalt, and Im just not sure about what shrouds I want to use.
I used Mini Gatlings on my last car and they were way too small in a big housing which I can bet will happen with the cobalts housings. So im curious to see what other people have used with this projector..?
Gatling 2.0? E46r? Apollo? E55R's are my favorite by far but I dont believe they will fit a Mini h1 projector.
In addition, i havent found a led setup I liked on this car using strips, so I want to do CCFL in white, so I would like to incorporate that as well.
Open to all suggestions!!!!
(And im going Morimoto 35w 5000k kit)

You can fit any shroud to the mini, some you might just have to use jb weld or epoxy to hold on. Of you use a different shroud be sure to wrap the openings on the side of it with aluminum foil tape, this will keep light from bleeding out from behind the shroud and lighting up the housing. I used the e46 extended on mine and it looked perfect. I'm also a fan of the e55, and the iris shroud.
You can run ccfl with anything. Just depends on where you wanna put it. I've seen some people put their ccfl rings down in the big silver ring in the e55 and it makes the whole should look like a big halo at night
