Simultaneous high and low beam on?

Can someone help me with wiring up the lights so the low beam stay on when high beam is switched on? How about all three stay on, low beam-high beam-fogs? I've seen diodes used for such function but mostly for pickup trucks which have head lamp relays in the fuse box...but not for Cobalt which doesn't seem to have such things...

I don't know how much of a difference there is in the 05-07 and the 08-09 but there is part of the headlight schematic...I have the full thing if you want it. Duno if this helps, but it was worth a shot.

This is a schematic for the 05-07...don't know if I clearified that or not...

Not really the best idea if you do it with the diode trick. Setting it up with your own wires and relays is the much safer way. The circuits for your headlights arent designed to power booth beams at once.

Not sure about Michigan, but I know in Missouri it is illegal to have more than 4 "driving" lights on at the same time. You can have the high beams and low beams work on at the same time, but if you also have the fogs on that is 6 "driving" lights and you can get a hefty fine for it.

^^ agree with both gentlemen above. Use relays using the battery as a power source, not diodes. And I think most places have a limit on the number of forward facing lights you can have on, so google it or something. Lol

Same here but we're more worried about deer than whether it's legal...besides, this won't be on when there's on coming traffic anyway lol...

Sure...it essentially like when you flash to pass...the low beam doesn't go off in that mode...

No luck with "ultimate high beam mod" or "super high beam" search at this forum or google...anyone help me locate this thread?
