slowbalt transformation

Well a few months ago someone pulled out in front of me and then they got to pay to put the SS front cover on my car. Now I am working on getting rims/tires/and lowering it. The rims are 19in. and I am going to put the SS/SC springs on it to lower it a little. If that isn't enough I will put sportlines on later. The car is at the shop getting the rims and tires on now and the springs will go on next week when I get them in the mail. Just thought I would let you guys know, not that you care, cause I can't sit still right now knowing that my car is going to look WAY different when I see it again in about 45min. I will get some pics up later if ya'll want.

These guys have to be pissed at me. I have called 2 times now to see if it was done. They did tell me only 45 min. So I called an hour later and they said another 30min. So I called 50 min. later and they said another 20 min. I don't want them to rush and **** up but I am excited! This is cool, I havn't been excited about my slowbalt untill now. I'm just way more into trucks than cars but I am starting to come around!

Oh yeah, I love it! This puppy really needs to get lowered a little though. I don't have pics yet but I will tomorrow! I already have a little rub so I am a little worried. The only rub I have is on the passenger side front. I can see right where it is rubbing (at full crank). It is rubbing on the back part of the wheel well just above the splash guard. Any suggestions? Will I have trouble when I lower it? I am only putting in the SS/SC springs for now so its not going to be a HUGE drop or anything.

if it rubs now obviously it will rub more if you lower it... id say leave stock spings on the front and drop the rear w/ ss springs, or sportlines... or cut out the part of wheel well that rubs...

looks good but you deffinatly need some sideskirts... also that gap around your front wheel dosent look right. u have about 2 inches between wheel and back of fender and about 8 inches between wheel and front of fender by the way the pic looks

I don't know, I will have to look at the car more. I think that the gap difference is decieving in the pic but I am rubbing in the rear of that wheel well! I will have more pics up with the new rims today and then we will see!

Ok well now I am pissed! Thanks for mentioning the strange gap in front of the wheel in that pic. I looked at that side of my car (the side involved in the wreck) then looked at the driver side and there is a big difference! The entire wheel is sitting 1/2 to 1 inch back! Now thats 2 things I have to go back to the shop and bitch about. The other is 3 month old paint starting to flake on the bumper and on the lower lip. Other than that I am VERY happy with the way the rims look. I got my springs in the mail today but now I have to wait untill I get that wheel gap fixed to lower it. Pic will come when I get home after work!

Easy there big guy. That could simply be that your steering wheel wasn't straight. Check that first.

Here is the difference between the gaps behind the tires on the driver and passenger, they are facing opposite directions and you can see the headlight on the driverside one. It is going back to the shop on Mon.
Drivers side front <---

Passenger side front --->

And a little fun I had on the old tires before they came off. Pull ebrake, rev a little, and dump=fun and very bad for car.

I saw a black LS/LT with the SS/SC front end on it the other day in traffic... had to do a triple take to see what I was looking at.

There is definitely something wrong with that wheel. That set-back looks like a result of a bent lower control arm. Is it possible your control arm suffered damage when you got hit? Otherwise, the car kindda looks like Wikkymasters car.
