i went with poppers because the way my kit was designed, there was a piece that runs right over the door handles...so we had to do something otherwise i would have had to come up with a different design for the kit...and i just liked it too much to change it.
basically like was said...its a keyless entry remote that pops the door open.

ive had em on mine, and they're awesome
I hope we get 250 people for the rears, because I really want one
my suggestion, when you put it on, use an alcohol pad to clean the lock before you stick it on
i had one of mine fall off

paint thinner, lacquer thinner, or even an alcohol pad you get from a gas station when you spill gas on yourself
YAY they arrived today!! so you say use rubbing alcohol, but i dont have any, someone else said use vodka, but i just have whisky atm, should i rub the lock with whisky then dry it off with a cloth then put them on?
Done! when i first looked at these i was like WTF they look like little buttons. but then i went ahead, put some whiskey on a paper towel, washed off the locks, put them on and dam! very nice. i love how they both Snapped into place. i did a poor ass job of alignment as i put it in the keyhole but then i just pushed and snap,-right into place. then i pushed on em for about 10 seconds each to make sure there in good. very good product. btw on the envelope it did say air mail so they musta fked up in shipping which is why they took so long.

Thanks for all the kind words.
I head things like this ALL the time but it NEVER gets old...

On to the questions...
From the FAQ...
Q. Can I paint them to match my car?
A. Yes, they can be painted to match your car. If you want to paint yours, you need to make sure the paint will stick to the SmoothLock. We suggest using a clear primer such as Klean-Strip Adhesion Promoter or similar product. Once the primer has dried, you can paint the SmoothLocks.
TIP: Once the paint dries, use a very sharp X-Acto knife to trim around the edge of the SmoothLock. This will make it easier to remove it from the backing paper without cracking the paint.

Working on it...got a ways to go but I have a few plans to get this rolling.
From the SmoothLock.Com front page...
If you ever need to use your door locks (if you lose your keyless remote, the battery dies, etc.), just carefully peel them back off your car again. To reapply, simply stick them back on with a bit of automotive trim adhesive if necessary.
...AND...
From the FAQ...
Q. What if I need to remove them?
A. If you need to remove your SmoothLocks, simply peel them off. The adhesive is very strong, and this might take a bit of effort and care (especially if you painted your SmoothLocks, the paint may crack if you are not careful removing them).

Thanks again everyone!
