Got an update from Custom Chariots yesterday, the lips new due date is Monday!

It better be right this ******* time

 

monday of next year right?

 

Well all they said was "It'll be ready August the 2nd" they didn't say which year lol

 

I knew it.

 

really...a ****** month to paint this thing?? damn dude...I'd be heated

 

Haha I'm sure a lot of people would be heated.

 

Yeah dude i'm pretty pissed about it.

and the worse thing is i'm not even going to end up with exactly what I wanted.

I just had them take the "Another Hero Lost..." off the side because they wanted to charge me MORE for what I told them I wanted in the first place, and that was the main point of this thing because that was a dedication to my dad

 

take it somewhere else to have that added if they ever finish it

 

I've spent enough money on this damn thing. I might just use some vinyl on the side or something

 

I wouldnt settle for that ****, id tell them to paint it back and give me my money back if they cant do it right, but a vinyl like you said would work just as good

 

Yeah, oh i'm not paying them anymore then the 250 I paid up front. Which was suppose to be the full price, but now they're trying to make me pay more because according to them I changed stuff while it was in paint. Which I didn't.

and yeah the vinyl will work, it'll just take me a little while to do it the way I wanted

 

Damn. When I got mine in, it was newly fixed and primered on the one side. I spray bombed that **** and it look OEM. No one can tell. Cost me a buck and it took 30 seconds. lol

 

So let me get this straight...they re charging you more for adding another hero lost? I thought you said they put it on there but it just wasn't in the right font?

 

They did put it on there, in a horrible blocky font, when it was suppose to be cursive. It was also suppose to be blended in with the puzzle pieces, and it was in summit white paint on the side, also suppose to be angled and it was just straight.

When I originally went in the first time I told them I wanted Another Hero Lost... on the drivers side at an angle and that i wanted it to be blended in with the puzzle pieces (as in if the A was on a black puzzle piece then it should be bronze). They wanted to charge me more to do that because according to them I didn't say that at first.

 

obviously they knew to put that **** on there because they did it the first time they just did it wrong... I would go back in there and tell them that. and if they dont want to cooperate then threaten to involve the law...that is unless you signed a waiver saying you couldn't. this is your hard earned money youre spending and this is your car I would get what I want or tell them to paint it back to the original color.

 

Damn yeah I'd say give me my fkn money and lip back

 

well you really dont have any way of proving that they didnt do exactly what you wanted because you should have written out exactly what you wanted and/or drawn a rough sketch for them to go by, and then had a manager sign it. all you have is your word vs theirs. people arent mind readers, and the painter isnt going to have your same vision of what you want it to look like as you are, so for future reference if you are having custom work done, possibly draw out what you want, so there is no way a mixup can happen.




i wonder if the shop thought this is what you meant when you said you wanted your lip painted

Damn, I only read the last page and I'm fed up for you. So your paying 250 to pay your lip plain brown? Or was the pic up top a joke?
I was priced around that to repaint my whole bumper. Hope everything works out for the OP though.
