I have been on the site for a while, checking out others work, and using very helpful information that this site contains. Car is still in the shop and hope they finish tomorrow, wanted to throw something new in to welcome her back. Also get the detail done that wasn't last weekend since it stopped raining for a minute
. I thought about this floor mat idea last fall, and finally making an effort towards making it happen. Haven't seen it done before on here. With that said, on to the project:
Picked these up from Cobalt Addiction last year. Drivers side scratched and hazed from a summer of use where my feet are, plus the finish was not 100% on delivery. Being a daily driver, paint is out of the question. Going to coat these in black bedliner coating to give em a more unified finish.

Already had the black bow tie ready from a different afternoon of arts n crafts. Also found a rubber grommet to fit in the hole for the carpet hook

This one wasn't painted yet, more of a score since I thought I lost it. Found it and my other needed badges in the detailing bag. Gotta clean it up still, slap some adhesive and paint on to match. Voila! I may also buy some trim for the mat edges, if i can find some that is curve and corner friendly.
Input appreciated.

The front mats actually stay in place pretty well, the back ones I may be worried about now that you mention it
This may call for some experimentation with fasteners...
