Personally, I think they are stupid! I am not really into modding, but I can at least understand someone doing it if there is a performance advantage. That said, spinners offer no performance increase, probably making performance worse by adding extra weight.

Spinners are more for trucks or ghetto H2 Hummers!

I'd rathe stick with 18's and lower it instead of filling the wheel well with bigger tires.

i definately think that spinners are more for trucks and thats it. i think they comerciallized them too much and then just ruined the concept with the cheap walmart plastic spinners i see soccer moms put on their mini vans...like everything out in this market, its hot one minute and then played out the next.

lambo doors, altezza lights, now spinners.

We actually have a nice set on the harley truck which sets it off...but we have taken then off for winter and basically use them for show purposes only.

Too heavy and a waste of money. I don't even think they're safe! Could you imagine the spinner blade chucking off if you hit a decent pothole??

Uhh... I guess you don't understand how wheel/tire sizes work.

19's for example would fill the wheel well exactly the same because the tires would have thinner sidewalls to compensate for the bigger wheel.

17's would have bigger side walls, so overall, still the same size.

Spinners really are for upscale luxury cars/suvs.

The Cobalt SS is an entry level car with a sport tune to it.

20" is the biggest and thats with really small tire. Spinners would be OK if not too guady and you werent planning on racing. Too each is own

I understand Tires. But if you put 20's on a cobalt you will have rubberband tires and no play left in the wheel well. Seeing the rims would basically fill the whole wheel well I don't see a drop working out. Where as if you kept 18's with the currents stock tire size. You could put a drop on it w/o the tires rubbing on the top.
