I was considering buying the SS style spoiler for my SS/TC (came with low rise), and I was wondering what kind of goo is used as the sealant? When I look where the Spoiler is actually bolted to the car I can see that there is a bunch of black goo sealant and I was wondering where I can get some of this (or something similar that won't ruin paint)

Any advice, personal experience is a great help!

It's double sided tape. You can buy it at lowes or Homedepot.

 

most new spoilers come with new goo or a gasket what ever its called

 

I'm having some troubles with this as well, I used the 3m double sided tape and my spoiler was wabbly as hell, so I baught some stuff called "goop" it worked well for about a week, it was still wabbly when going over bumps but better. Then the goop losened up and became all shakey again. I'm trying to find a solid double sided tape, with little luck

Molding tape? What brand? And where would be a good place to get it from? I've been around to numerous places and the only thing I could really find was the 3m mounting tape

 

i found it at advanced auto parts. i cant remember what brand tho. the smallest roll was like 6.99. it might have a been 3m. i could be wrong..
