Spoiler/trunk question..
Hey guys..
So I recently traded trunks for a high-rise set-up from a low-rise.. I like it better than the low, but I want to go spoiler-less.. I have a friend who wants to buy my high-rise off me.. He has a low-rise on his car currently.. So I have a few questions..
1) The high-rise does 100% directly bolt on into the low-rise holes in the trunk, correct?
2) What do you have to do to remove the trunk? 4 bolts and get that goo **** off? Is that it?
3) What is recommended to put onto the spoiler when we bolt it back up to his car? What kinda goo I mean? Gorilla Glue?
4) What is a reasonable price to pay at a body shop to have the holes patched and re-sprayed?
Lemme know.. Thanks!

300-400$ sounds reasonable.. Cuz you figure.. Gotta plug it... gotta paint it.. clear coat... And Labor.. I would say easily 300...

The problem is every trunk I'm finding either have spoilers already still, or they're for a sedan.. lol.
I'm guessing if you just removed the spoiler and left it as-is that there would get to be a good sized puddle in your trunk if you didn't at least tape the holes..? lol

Quiksteel..?? More info..
I was wondering about just plugging it.. It might not look AWESOME, but it'll work for the time-being until I can get another trunk.. Aside from this alleged Quiksteel stuff, what else would I use? Something like those little plastic caps that hold your trunk mat in place? lol

You can get it at Advance Auto. You kneed it and plug the hole. Use a book or something and press it against the spoiler holes from the top of the trunk that way you can press the quicksteel into the hole from the inside of the trunk. The book will give it something to press against and make the top flat and smooth. It's also paintable so after it hardens just put some touch up paint on it. Plastic caps or anything will look really ghetto compared to doing it this way.

What's the easiest way to remove the good under the spoiler? Do you just run a heat gun on it and eventually it lifts up? Then you just Goo-Gone and scrape the **** off the trunk lid?
Alright so I just got back from removing the spoiler on my car. Let me tell ya, that thing just did not want to give! Me and my buddy struggled with it for about 30 minutes before it finally let itself get off the trunk.
Haven't painted the holes yet but here's some shots of the car as it stands sans-spoiler and of the holes I now have to paint.

I also have to claybar the residue lines off the trunk as well. Will post pics once I have it painted etc.

I'm not even worried about the holes anymore. I'm more worried about the damage that the damn spoiler did to the trunk. lol. I have the same outline that you do, but like little dents too. Fucked up.. For the time being, I'm using electrical tape pieces. Looks clean in all honesty. And it's like 50 cents..
