Spray Tint???
Spray Tint???
Hay does anyone know anything about this spay tint? It comes in spray cans. I wanting to tint the headlights on my SS...... not dark, just hint of shade. I looked at the headlight protectors, but they are toooooo dark. The headlights on a black Cobalt is a little stark. I like the tint that is on the SEMA 272. So what is everyone's opinon on this and where to get it?
The 272 is not tinted. Look closer. The reflective chrome colored plastic along the back interior wall of the shell has been colored black. The front lense is perfectly clear. You could do the same to your headlamps. You would need to split open the casing, which is tricky if you are not careful, you could crack the plastic. But I have done it a couple times with success. I'm considering doing it to my car too.

my friend did 3 layers on his tailights, and it was dark red, could still see the red, but not a lot
do less, and itll be more opaque obviously
lol i knew i would still learn english some how if i dropped out of eng 101
jk but ya buy a can and do one shade... im pretty sure you will want to do at least 1 or 2 more.... beck did his tail lamps with i think 10 shades (2 cans) and it looks black as hell but you can still see the red when the brakes are engaged
hey mojax did you get the low profile wing?

Lol it wasnt exactly 10 shades, but i did about 4 thick coats to get a black look. however it still shines through. if you do thin coats it wont be too dark at all. only problem i would see here is the ability for the niteshadez to adhere to the glass.
Check out my sig if you want to know how to tint em

just make sure you put it on the inside of the lights. i put it on the outside of my old truck and it lasted for about 6 months before it started to fade away.
i know this is obvious but im just throwing it out there since i did it. some people dont want to take the lights apart but you really have to.
