SS body kit INSTALLED on LS (pics on 9)

Well i got the money together and we made a cash trade (SugerDaddy), It's the full SS bumper w/ lip, both rocker moldings and rear lip. i'm going to do all the painting and installation myself. i'll keep everyone posted.

he still owes me the clips for the side skirts because he forgot them when we traded. i'll let you guys know if he's good for his word and sends them in the mail like expected. i ended up paying $600 which seems like a fair deal. the body work is all un painted and un used. it will take me a week or two at most before i get all the paint and have it on the car. i also bought black G5 door panels with bezels for $200 shipped which is about right.. now i need the power window kit, hopefully that wont be more then $200. but those can wait. ill keep you posted on the body kit, i have a local guy who will paint the whole kit for $300 including paint, but i'd rather save the extra $150 and put it towards power windows and paint the kit myself. I'll post pics as soon as it's on the car. maybe i'll chang emy name to LSJ clone lol, i cant wait til i get enough money to turbo.

REAR LIP INSTALLATION SOON! BETTER PICS AS WELL1 HERE IS THE PROGRESS SO FAR

Haha no badges just let them assume..
Obviously if you was happy with the LS you wouldn't be putting higher trim bumpers on..

Maybe he didn't want your small 2.0L engine Just remember, a 2.2 turbo'd is faster then a 2.0 turbo'd.

..you can't be serious..
Hmm most turbo 2.2's I've seen is making less than 250whp compared to the 2.0's high 300's (low 400's on some)

That the funniest thing I have heard all day. That made me LOL....

I was happy with my car and I still put the high rise on. Just because he changes things that don't mean he's not happy with it.

lol i'm happy with my car but i couldn't afford an SS, it was out of my price range... it's my first car so it's a learning experience, and i might as well make it look nice if i can. and having the big brother (SS) makes it simple to upgrade to things like leather interior, power windows, and appearance mods.

Actually no. Even the ecotec cobalt drag cars are bored from the 2.2 to just a little over 2.0.

Displacement isn't everything.

Now the 2.4l on the other hand I've seen making 300 hp from the garrett kit, now that's something to be jealous over.

Ehh, I wouldn't do it myself but an 07 SS with the 08 SS grill is a little different than an LS with a complete SS kit and spoiler.

.. agreed...

there is no replacement for displacement

well actually a turbo or an s/c is a pretty good replacement for it...

but yes the original statement was dumb

what about my 2.4 with the body kit? i have the ss/tc to back it up but either way there is no reason to be an ass because he put a body kit on his car. imo its the best looking kit out there

2.2\2.4s>2.0s if memory serves me correct they are just dohc.. plus slightly smaller displacement, only thing is they are boost ready, ie low comp pistons etc. i firmly believe there is no replacement for displacement

exactly OMGSHESABOY, the only kit that i was considering because the SS was the grip tuning, i love the way that looks but for half the price i'll stick with the SS kit.

by the way i using your how-to to install the rear lip. i'm a cheapie so i have to find good replacements for the clips cuz i don't feel like spending $50 on clips for the front and rear lips

USE THE CLIPS!!! i cant stress this enough, the only reason i made the how to was because i had to do it twice because i tried making my own clips the first time. you already spent good money on the parts do it right the first time because next week your going to be kicking yourself in the ass for it.
